As a result CLD panel meeting at the end of June, a meeting of the youth work focused members met to draft and then distribute a short survey to canvass views from the sector.
By the end of July, 402 responses had been received and the results of the initial snapshot are highlighted in the paper produced by NYA
Fiona Blacke of NYA then shared the paper with UKCES and provided the following update:
“UKCES have responded to snapshot feedback on the youth work survey as of 1st August informally. They have been positive about the volume of responses achieved in such a short space of time and have welcomed the steer that the results are obviously giving. They remain open to dialogue with the sector and have said they are happy to continue to receive further information from the survey, as it comes in. However, they have heard the messages expressed thus far and are clear how this should direct thinking when considering options and making decisions about the future place for youth work in the sector skills arena.”
