How to Join
The Confederation of Heads of Young People’s Services (CHYPS) is unique in that it is the only national organisation that represents the interests of all Heads, Leaders and Managers of Integrated Youth Support Services and is actively taking forward the integrated agenda. It has therefore increasingly become the organisation of first choice for this section of the young peoples’ workforce. Currently we have over 180 members which include Assistant Directors, Heads of IYSS, Heads of Youth Work, Strategic Leads for Positive Activities, Regional Youth Work Advisers and third sector Chief Executives and their senior staff.
CHYPS’ key function is to represent its members at both a national and local level to influence policy, campaign and to champion the cause of good quality youth work. It does this through the maintenance and development of a national and regional infrastructure.
