All too often political debate and media coverage responds to and feeds a negative perception of young people. As a result many feel and are marginalised. Yet young people must be our number one priority. They are our present and our future. The Coalition for Young People brings together leading national organisations that work with or represent young people.

The Coalition’s 2009 manifesto was launched at the political party conferences held in early autumn. It sets out eight action points to support young people to flourish, including fair access to services and high quality opportunities for young people in education, health, justice, employment, transport, community and leisure.
